3.3: What's not fair?


This activity helps students to draw parallels between the unfair situations in the text and those in the familiar situations discussed in the previous activity.

Tasks

  1. Read The Little Red Hen or similar text to the class as a stimulus for discussion.
  2. Make appropriate stops throughout the story to highlight the unfair situations.
  3. Discuss with the class whether the resolution was fair.
  4. Ask students to draw a situation that they think is unfair linked either to the text or to the discussions in the previous activity.
  5. Ask students to name and label their work.
  6. Collect and keep student work for the next activity.
