3.3: What's not fair?
This activity helps students to draw parallels between the unfair situations in the text and those in the familiar situations discussed in the previous activity.
Tasks
- Read The Little Red Hen or similar text to the class as a stimulus for discussion.
- Make appropriate stops throughout the story to highlight the unfair situations.
- Discuss with the class whether the resolution was fair.
- Ask students to draw a situation that they think is unfair linked either to the text or to the discussions in the previous activity.
- Ask students to name and label their work.
- Collect and keep student work for the next activity.
- Help students to draw parallels between the unfair situations in the text and those discussed in the previous activity.
