3.4: What's fair?

This activity encourages students to explore unfair situations and consider how they can be made fair.

Tasks

  1. Distribute student work from the previous activity.
  2. Ask students to explain why they think the situations they have drawn are unfair.
  3. Discuss what could be done to resolve the situation. First ask the individual student and then put the situation to the whole group.
  4. Ask students to consider whether being fair to one person is being unfair to another.
  5. Ask students to draw the appropriate fair resolution and label it.
  6. Staple drawings together to make a book. Follow each unfair situation with its fair resolution.
